End of April and month of May

It has been getting hot outside and summer is almost around the corner.  We or more like Clay has been knocking out some projects around the house including finally building a bar-b-que pit and expanding the patio roof.  It took twice as long this time mostly due to his helper, but it is done and works great.

Riding the train at the park

Daylon has been getting quite the personality.  He is definitely a red-head - he is so happy one minute and then something does not go his way and he is red mad, then the problem gets fix and it is all smiles with no problem.  He also loves the camera and the mirror....maybe just a little vein.

We introduced cereal at 5 months and he loved it. We introduced baby food right before six months and he can not get enough of it.  There for awhile, we could not shovel it in fast enough without him getting mad.  He has gotten a little more patient, but we know not to leave baby food in front of him and walk away.....talk about MAD.

I had to go to Dallas for CPE, so I left Clay in charge of the boys.  Unfortunately, this is also when Clay got an infection in his knee, so he could barely walk.  He toughed it out though with Daylon and Marshall got to go to Oma's house.  I think it was good for them to have some father/son time without Marshall or me interfering.

I wanted to attempt to take the boys to Sea World at the end of May before school let out and it got crowded.  My Mom and I took them for a couple of hours.  Unfortunately, the water park was still closed, but the Splash Pad was open to get a little wet.

Our Friday nights have consistant of alot of family time.  Here we had an exciting evening at Costco.

Easter Fun

We had a great Easter.  Marshall started off the day with an Easter hunt in the morning and then the Hadas family was kind enough to invite us to their annual Easter lunch.  They also hosted an Easter egg hunt for all the kids at the neighborhood park where we used to live.  It was great food and fun and we only had to travel a couple of miles, so we loved it.

Easter Bunny brought Daylon a little something too!

The hunt is on!

To Infinity and Beyond!

Marshall and I had a Mother-son night and we met Donna and the girls to see Disney Toy Story on Ice.  Marshall LOVED it!  We had taken pictures earlier that day, so I had promised him a souvenir.  I have never seemed him so focus on wanting a toy.  He could not live without the Buzz Lightyear Laser and did not take it off his hand the whole time.  It was an expensive night of cotton candy and popcorn, but definitely worth the splurge.  The girls and him had a blast and it was nice to focus on just Marshall while Daddy had some alone time with Daylon.

Spring Pictures

I took the boys to Portrait Innovations to get Spring Pictures done on Good Friday.  I thought everybody would have done their Easter pictures done, but apparently not.  It was really crowded and chaotic with a long wait and I didn't even want Easter pictures.  I was a little disappointed with the pictures.  In the past, they could always capture a smile on Marshall when he was a baby even if I did not see it.  I thought since Daylon smiles all the time and Marshall can now smile on command, we could get some great "Brother" pictures.  Apparently, it is really tricky to get them both smiling and looking in the same direction.  I am hoping next time will be better without such a long wait and rush to get through them.  Here are some of the pictures from their photo shoot.

This is Marshall at the same age as Daylon.  I think they still look like Brothers,
but are starting to look more and more different.
